Upload the file for your template by selecting it from your system.

Choose the GSTR option to specify the type of data you're working with.
Check the uploaded file for any errors or duplicate entries. This step ensures data accuracy before mapping.

Navigate to the Custom Mapping page. This is where you'll map the fields from your template.

Review the fields under the classifications: All, Required, Pending, and Mapped. Start by updating the fields under Required and Pending.

Map the Document Date field to the corresponding column in your template.

Map the Document Number field.

Continue mapping the following fields: Document Type Code, Supply Type Code, Recipient Legal Name, Recipient Trade Name, Recipient GSTN, Place of Supply, Recipient Address, Recipient Place, Recipient State Code, Serial Number, Item Description, and HSN/SAC Code.

After mapping all the necessary fields, check for any unmapped data. Ensure all mandatory fields are addressed.
Once all required and mandatory data is mapped, save the template with a unique name for easy identification.

After saving the custom mapping, go to the Invoice section and select the Import option.

Select the Excel sheet you want to import.

Choose the respective GSTN of the seller to ensure the data is linked correctly.
In the Template option, select the newly created custom mapping template.

Import the file. If the mapping was done correctly, the data will import successfully without any errors.
Verify that the invoices from your Excel sheet have been successfully imported into the system.

And that's it! You've successfully performed a custom mapping in invoicing and utility using Clear Financing Cloud. This process ensures accurate data handling and streamlines your invoicing workflow.
