# Add NIC Credentials

**Step 1: Navigate to Settings icon**

Open account settings in the left hand side panel.

**Step 2: Select "NIC Credentials" under account settings**

**Step 3: Click on "Add NIC Credentials"**

**Step 4: Select the GSTIN from the drop down for which NIC credentials needs to be added**

**Step 5: Enter the NIC API Username and password. Click on save to add the NIC credentials**

In case, the GSTIN is not registered on the NIC portal and username, password is not generated, it can be done by clicking on the link provided at the bottom of the screen.
