Importing Invoices in CT E-invoicing using Govt format

Excel import of Invoice using Govt format template

Step 1:

Click on ‘Generate E-invoices’ option to import your data

Step 2:

Select a ‘Business’ to import your data

Step 3:

Under ‘Choose a method to import your data’ → Select ‘Government Excel’

Step 4:

Click on ‘Select file from your computer’ button to proceed Important Note: You can now download the Government Excel Format from ClearTax → Just click on ‘Download it here’ to download the template

Step 5:

Please wait while your data is being imported & processed

Step 6:

Congratulations!! Your data is now successfully imported into ClearTax → Click on ‘Proceed to validate Data’ to continue

Step 7:

If some of the invoices imported have errors → Under the ‘Errors’ column hover to find the reason → You can correct the errors in this screen by editing the details → Click on ‘Save and Validate’ button to save the changes made

Note: You can also correct errors in the original file & re-upload or Click on ‘Download error report’ to download the existing errors in an Excel format to correct the errors & re-upload

Click on ‘Proceed to view all e-invoices’ option to proceed

Step 8:

Congratulations!!! Your invoices are now successfully imported into ClearTax
