# Updating NIC Credentials in ClearTax

#### Step 1- Open Settings panel <a href="#step-1-open-settings-panel" id="step-1-open-settings-panel"></a>

‌Login to E-Invoicing portal and navigate to settings on top right under your username. Click on settings.

#### Step 2- Select GSTIN  <a href="#step-1-open-settings-panel" id="step-1-open-settings-panel"></a>

Under the Business Settings tab,  select the GSTIN for which you want to change the NIC Credentials.

#### Step 3- Update the Username/password and Save <a href="#step-1-open-settings-panel" id="step-1-open-settings-panel"></a>

In the screen update the '**NIC API Username**' and '**NIC API Password**' and click on **save** on the top right of the screen.
