Eway bill generation using IRN
Login to the E-Inv Product - einv.cleartax.
Step 2: Import e-invoices & EWB
Click on generate e-invoices and EWB to select required GSTIN/branch.
Step 3: Select GSTIN/branch and land on data import page
Select GSTIN/Branch to land on the data import template selection page or LP2
Step 4: Select ‘ClearTax Template EWB from IRN’
Select ‘ClearTax EWB Template from IRN’ to generate E-way bills from IRN
Step 5: Click on ‘Select file from computer
Step 6: Select the required file from your computer
Step 7: Ingestion of data in progress
Step 8: Ingestion Success
Click on ‘Proceed to validate data’ to move to the next step
Step 9: View data screen
Step 10: Select invoices for EWB generation
Select invoices or IRN against which EWB has to be generated by clicking on the checkboxes on the left against each invoice
To bulk select invoices you can click on the checkbox next to invoice id at the top
To download invoices selected click on the ‘Download’ button
To print invoices selected click on the ‘Print’ button
To Generate EWB selected IRNs click on the ‘Generate’ button
Step 11: Generate EWB
First click on the ‘Generate EWB’ button:
Next click on the via APIs (without Captcha) option:
EWB generation in progress screen will be visible next:
After EWBs are generated status message will be displayed
Step 12: View EWBs generated screen
Step 13: Printing, Downloading and Cancelling EWBs
Download - Generated EWBs can be downloaded by selecting the required EWBs and clicking on the ‘Download’ button
Print - Generated EWBs can be printed by selecting the required EWBs and clicking on the ‘Print’ button
Cancel - Generated EWBs can be cancelled by clicking on the ‘More Options’ button shown by 9 dots and clicking on the ‘Cancel EWB’ option
