Steps to generate Eway bills via auto-population of IRN

As a user of E-invoicing and Eway bill products you can directly view IRNs which are eligible for Eway bill in the ‘View and Manage EWB’ screen and then generate Eway bills for the required IRNs.

If this feature is enabled for you then ingesting or importing data of generated IRNs is not necessary and you can directly see the IRNs that have been created on ClearTax and are eligible for Eway bill in the ‘View and Manage EWB’ screen.

The feature makes creation of Eway bills in bulk very easy as all details are directly available and additional details can be entered on the screen itself.

Currently the feature can be enabled by reaching out to your respective ClearTax KAM (Key Account Manager).

Step 1: Generate IRN

Select the ‘Invoices’ for which you want to generate IRN → Click on ‘Generate IRN’ button. The IRNs generated like this will be visible in the ‘View all E-invoices’ screen.

Step 2: Move to View and Manage EWB

The e-invoices created on ClearTax and eligible for EWB creation will be directly visible on the ‘View and Manage EWB’ screen.

Step 3: Update transporter details

Select E-invoices which have been auto-populated against which Eway bill has to be created and update the transporter details.

Step 4: Generate Eway bills

After updating the transporter details click on ‘Generate’ and select ‘Generate EWB’ to generate for the selected E-invoices.

Congratulations!! Eway bills have been successfully generated for the selected IRNs.
